Every year, right around February, the home stretch of winter, I get the urge to leave the chilly, grey, lifeless Connecticut and make my way to my favorite little corner of sunny California. The pandemic had kept me from traveling for almost an entire year, and I finally reached my breaking point. I booked my flight, hopped in a convertible, and headed for the hills of Los Alamos. Once I let that golden sunlight flood my veins and bring me back to life, I immediately wanted to try to put together a little styled something to celebrate being in a place that still had green on the trees and flowers in the ground.

I’d met a CA florist in a Clubhouse chat, and serendipity brought a dress designer right to my front door — the rest was history!
